About ZipYacht
ZipYacht is an AI-native operating layer for the yachting world. The company is based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and the software was built and proven on a real working motor yacht, before it was sold to anyone else. The tagline is Connecting Yachting.
ZipYacht runs two things at once. The first is ZipYacht Management, yacht management software that puts maintenance, inventory, projects, estimates, crew and documents on one screen, with an AI layer that flags what is about to break. It costs $1,790 per year plus $189 per month, and owners and captains start with a 10-Minute Look. The second is a global marine services directory of more than 300 vetted businesses — refit project managers, shipyards, surveyors, provisioning firms, security integrators and the rest — organised by trade and by port at zipyacht.com/places.
Alongside those, Shelly is ZipYacht’s marine marketing system for brokers, yards, contractors and charter operators, at $1,500 setup plus $300 per month. The crew job board is free for crew and deckhands permanently; employers hire on a free account too. Full pricing is published at zipyacht.com/pricing.
Built by someone who runs a boat
Most yacht software is written by software companies who then go looking for boats. ZipYacht was written the other way round. Every maintenance interval, every inventory quirk and every crew handover in the platform started as a problem on a working 100-foot motor yacht, and the first version existed because the boat needed it. That is why the product does not ask you to configure an empty system before it becomes useful, and it is why the demo is a look at real data rather than a blank account.
The AI crew
ZipYacht’s AI assistants are named rather than numbered, because crew are how a boat actually works. The canonical crew is Molly, Roger, Sammy, Allie, CP, BillyJean, Ace, Val, Sally, Shelly, Hollywood and Popcorn. Each one handles a lane — management, charter, brokerage, hiring, insurance, marketing — and you can meet them at zipyacht.com/ai-crew.
