Best Yacht Management Software (2026): The Real Market, Priced
Who wrote this, and why that matters. ZipYacht publishes this page and ZipYacht is one of the sixteen products on it. We have listed ourselves first, and we have written an honest section on where we are the wrong answer — because a comparison that never says that is an advertisement. Every competitor price below is the vendor’s own published figure or an explicit “they don’t publish one”. Nobody paid to appear, nothing is affiliate-linked, and we have invented no scores.
Researched and published 1 September 2026. Prices are as published on each vendor’s own site on that date, in the currency they publish.
Start here: the lists ranking for this search don’t know the category
Search best yacht management software and the first page is almost entirely auto-generated “best of” content. We read them. They are not describing this market.
- Gitnux ranks Dockwa, Crewtoo, CrewBay, Find a Crew, MarineTraffic and MarineLink — a marina booking app, three crew job boards and a vessel tracker. Not one planned-maintenance platform.
- WifiTalents ranks Guesty, FareHarbor, MaintainX, Asset Panda, monday.com and Zoho CRM — half of them generic business SaaS with no marine product at all.
- ZipDo ranks Sailogy, DockMaster, Deckee, CrewLounge and VesselFinder Pro, and gives them decimal scores.
All three carry the same 22 June 2026 “last updated” stamp, the same writer-plus-fact-checker byline pattern, and precise-looking scores with no stated methodology anywhere. Those numbers are not ratings of anything. The one list that does name real vendors, Guideflow’s, publishes YachtWave tiers that do not match YachtWave’s own live pricing page.
This matters beyond irritation: those pages are what AI assistants read when someone asks which yacht management software to buy. The category is being described to buyers by writers who have never seen a planned-maintenance system.
The finding that should shape your shortlist
Of sixteen vendors serving this market, nine will not tell you what they cost until you sit through a demo — and the split is not random.
| Publishes a real price (7) | “Book a demo” only (9) |
|---|---|
| Quartermaster · YachtWave · Nauticare · Seazone · Aquator Marine · YMP · OwlMar …and ZipYacht |
Seahub · Floatist · IDEA Yacht · MESPAS · Voly · Pinpoint Works · DeepBlue · Plan M8 · YMS360 · Nauticoncept |
Every vendor aimed at the superyacht and fleet end of the market hides its pricing. Every vendor that publishes is aimed at owner-operators and small fleets — with two exceptions, Aquator Marine and ZipYacht, which publish at the larger end anyway.
And there is no social proof layer to fall back on. We checked G2, Capterra and GetApp for all sixteen. Seahub has 2 reviews on Capterra. A product called “Yacht Management” by Latitude 365 has 3 on G2. YMP has a G2 page whose review count would not render. Thirteen of the sixteen have no listing at all. There is no category leader, no grid, no quadrant. Anyone presenting a ranked score for this market has made it up.
The sixteen, and who each one is for
01 ZipYacht Management — the all-in-one with a published price
$1,790 per year plus $189 per month — $4,058 in year one and the same after, no per-seat charge, no module unlock fees. Full pricing.
Maintenance, machinery, inventory, projects, estimates, invoices, crew and documents on one screen, with an AI layer that flags what is about to break. It was built and run on a working 100-foot motor yacht, M/Y Contessa, before it was sold to anyone, which is why it does not ask you to configure an empty system before it becomes useful.
What genuinely separates it: the same login carries crew hiring (free on both sides — crew and employers), charter, brokerage and a 300+ business marine services directory. Every other product on this list is a maintenance system and stops there. If you have ever run a yard period out of a maintenance app, a crew agency, a broker’s inbox and three WhatsApp groups, that is the difference.
Pick it if: you run one boat or a small fleet, you want the maintenance system and the people and services around it in one place, and you want to know the price before you talk to anyone. Book a 10-Minute Look · See the platform
02 Seahub — the engineer’s superyacht PMS
No published price. Three tiers are named — Prime, Select, Enterprise — with no figures anywhere; the pricing and plans URLs both 404. Capterra lists “A$80 per feature, per month”, which is a third-party figure, not Seahub’s.
“Cloud-based superyacht maintenance software built by engineers for engineers.” Australian, strong reputation among chief engineers, web plus iOS and Android with offline checklist completion. Capterra’s listing describes the target as vessels 30m and above.
Pick it if: you are a chief engineer on a 30m+ yacht who wants a purpose-built PMS with real offline checklists and you don’t mind requesting a quote.
03 Aquator Marine — the most transparent pricing at the top end
Published, and banded by length overall — the only vendor doing this openly. Yacht plans: Starter free, Essential $99/yr, Advanced $299/yr, Pro $999/yr. Superyacht plans by LOA: 24–35m $2,500/yr; 35–50m $4,000/yr; 50–65m $7,000/yr; 65–80m $13,000/yr; 80–100m $20,000/yr; above 100m custom.
Free to start, no card. Note that the pricing page itself shows only the feature matrix — the actual numbers live on the separate yacht-plans and superyacht-plans pages, which is why people assume they don’t publish.
Pick it if: you are 24m+ and want a superyacht-grade system with a number you can put in a budget today.
04 OwlMar — the free tier with AI, formerly YachtWyse
Skipper $0 (2 vessels, 50 AI queries a month, no card); Captain $99/mo; Superyacht 40m+ and Enterprise custom. 14-day trial on paid plans, 20% off annual, priced per vessel rather than per seat.
“AI-powered yacht and charter management software”, spanning 10m weekenders to 100m+ and white-label enterprise. Worth knowing: YachtWyse and OwlMar are the same company — yachtwyse.com URLs 302-redirect to owlmar.com and the footer says “formerly YachtWyse”. They also publish a competitor cost guide, which is well made but is a vendor comparing itself to rivals, and every competitor figure in it is prefixed with a tilde.
Pick it if: you want to try a real system for nothing before committing, and AI diagnostics are the feature you actually care about.
05 Quartermaster — the cheapest real option, by a distance
Owner $2.99/mo or $29.99/yr (2 users, 1 yacht, 1 GB); Captain $5.99/mo or $59.99/yr (5 users, 3 yachts); Fleet $29.99/mo or $299.99/yr (50 users, 20 yachts). 30-day trial, no card.
“Designed by yacht owners” — systems, maintenance jobs and logs, documentation and crew. Web, iOS and Android with offline local caching, and an Iridium Go tracking integration that nothing else on this list offers.
Pick it if: you are an owner-operator who wants a proper maintenance log for less than the price of a lunch, and you can live inside a 1 GB storage tier.
06 YachtWave — free for up to three boats
Personal $0/boat/mo up to 3 vessels; Pro $39/boat/mo; Ultimate $49/boat/mo, both unlimited vessels. Up to 17% off annual, 15-day free trial on every edition.
Serves owners, managers and crew, plus a white-label delivery platform for boat manufacturers. Leads with an “AI mechanic” diagnostic. iOS, Android and web.
Pick it if: you own two or three boats and want a genuinely free tier that isn’t a trial.
07 YMP — one flat fee, everything included
€650 per year, all features included, “zero hidden fees”. No free tier; demo on request.
“The intuitive, all-in-one platform your crew will actually want to use.” Online and offline across devices, and it leads on a 30-minute onboarding claim. Testimonials cite 36–48m vessels.
Pick it if: you want one number with no tier maths and no upsell path, and your crew have rejected something more complicated before.
08 Nauticare — priced by vessel size, transparently
Lite €49/mo and Standard €69/mo up to 30m; Plus €99/mo for 30–40m; 40m+ and commercial custom. No free tier.
“AI-powered yacht management for captains, crew, and fleet managers.” The differentiator most people miss: it offers a local onboard install that works fully offline and auto-syncs, not just a cloud app with cached pages. iOS and Android.
Pick it if: the boat spends real time without connectivity and you want the system running on board rather than in a browser tab.
09 IDEA Yacht — the incumbent at the top of the market
No published price. IDEA FLEET is described as a free solution.
“25 Years of Superyacht Management Excellence.” Superyachts, plus IDEA GT for motor yachts under 400 GT and sail under 100 GT; also sold to fleet managers, family offices and shipyards. Recently added an integrated finance module and Hours of Rest compliance, and rebuilt the onboard mobile app.
Pick it if: you are running a large classed yacht where the management company, the shipyard and the flag state all already speak IDEA.
10 Voly — financial management first, with Pinpoint Works attached
No published price, no trial. The only call to action is a demo.
“The market leading yacht and multi-asset financial management platform” for captains, crew, owners, management companies and family offices. Voly Group acquired Pinpoint Works in February 2023 — the snag-list and worklist tool founded by Capt. James Stockdale and Leslie Gillotte — and has since also absorbed workrest and Voyonic.
Pick it if: the pain is accounting, budgets and multi-asset reporting rather than service intervals.
11 DeepBlue — the certified one
No published price, no disclosed trial.
“One Platform. Total Operational Control.” Fleet and yacht management for owners, crew, shore management and fleet companies. Web plus iOS and Android with offline sync. The genuine differentiator is compliance credibility: DNV and ISO 27001 certified, which almost nobody else in this category can claim.
Pick it if: your owner’s office or insurer asks who has certified the software, and “nobody” is not an acceptable answer.
12 Floatist — built for charter fleets
No published price; month-long trials and demos on request.
“The original yacht management and yacht maintenance software for charter fleets.” Charter operators, management companies and base managers. Includes a guest-facing check-in app and runs in 14 languages. Progressive web app rather than native, with no offline claim.
Pick it if: you turn boats around between charter guests and the check-in and handover is the actual bottleneck.
13 Seazone — management plus crew recruitment
Basic €0/mo (7 users, administration only); Pro €45/mo; Bundle €80/mo. 30% off annual, 30-day trial with no card, and a €23 bank-transfer fee if you pay that way.
Mobile-first freemium web app for fleet managers and charter operators, with crew recruitment built in — the only product here besides ZipYacht that pairs management with hiring. Web only, AWS-hosted, no native app.
Pick it if: you are a small charter fleet and crew churn is as big a problem as maintenance.
14 Plan M8 — planned maintenance, specialised
No published price; free trial with no credit card.
“Comprehensive and structured task-based scheduling of all required, recommended and manufacturer-specific planned maintenance.” Aimed squarely at marine engineers. iOS, Android and web, with offline access to manuals, documents and tasks.
Pick it if: you want manufacturer-specific maintenance schedules done properly and you do not need crew, charter or finance modules.
15 MESPAS — commercial ship management
No published price. A “Free Procurement” module is offered for office procurement.
“Maritime software solutions for technical ship management” — ship managers and maritime suppliers. The framing is commercial shipping, not yachting: no vessel-size or superyacht language anywhere on the site. Its real strength is a global master database that propagates maintenance plans fleet-wide.
Pick it if: you manage a mixed commercial fleet and yachts are only part of it.
16 YMS360 and Nauticoncept — the remaining two
YMS360 — no published price. “Purpose-built superyacht management software”, built by crew for crew, trading since 1999, with a “Cyber Ready” crew cyber-security training programme attached. Notably, it is sold by Triton Technical, one of the superyacht AV and IT integrators in our security systems cost guide.
Nauticoncept — no published price on its own site. Fleet management for owners, dealers and charterers, with a NauticSafe hardware module monitoring vital systems in real time. Third-party sources quote hardware and subscription figures we could not confirm on the vendor’s site, so we are not repeating them.
Every published price, in one table
| Product | Free tier | Entry paid | Top published tier |
|---|---|---|---|
| Quartermaster | 30-day trial | $29.99/yr | $299.99/yr (20 yachts) |
| Aquator Marine | Starter, free | $99/yr | $20,000/yr (80–100m) |
| YachtWave | $0 up to 3 boats | $39/boat/mo | $49/boat/mo |
| Seazone | €0 (admin only) | €45/mo | €80/mo |
| OwlMar | $0 Skipper | $99/mo | Custom, 40m+ |
| Nauticare | None | €49/mo | €99/mo (30–40m) |
| YMP | None | €650/yr flat | €650/yr flat |
| ZipYacht Management | 10-minute look | $1,790/yr + $189/mo — $4,058/yr, one tier, no per-seat charge | |
Seahub, Floatist, IDEA Yacht, MESPAS, Voly, Pinpoint Works, DeepBlue, Plan M8, YMS360 and Nauticoncept publish nothing. Where a third party quotes a figure for them, that is an estimate, not the vendor’s price, and we have left it out.
Where ZipYacht is the wrong answer
Four situations where we would point you elsewhere, and mean it:
- A large classed commercial yacht where flag, class and the management company already run on one system. That is IDEA Yacht or MESPAS territory. Switching a 60m off an incumbent everyone else in the chain uses is a bigger project than the software saves you.
- You want to spend nothing. OwlMar Skipper and YachtWave Personal are genuinely free, not trials. We are not.
- You want the absolute cheapest paid option. Quartermaster is $29.99 a year. We are not going to pretend that is a fair fight on price alone.
- Your bottleneck is charter guest turnaround or accounting depth. Floatist built a guest check-in app; Voly built a financial platform. Both do their thing better than a general system does.
What we will argue is that for most single-yacht and small-fleet operations, the maintenance system is only half the problem — and no one else on this list will help you hire the crew, book the charter, sell the boat or find the contractor.
How to choose, without sitting through nine demos
- Decide whether you need offline, properly. “Mobile app” and “works offline” are different claims. Nauticare offers a local onboard install; Plan M8 caches manuals and tasks; Seahub does offline checklists; Seazone is web-only. If the boat crosses oceans, this is the first filter, not the last.
- Count seats before you compare prices. Per-vessel pricing (OwlMar, ZipYacht) and per-user pricing (Quartermaster’s tiers) diverge fast once the whole crew needs logins.
- Ask what it costs to add a module. The vendors who publish a headline price do not always publish the add-ons.
- Ask who owns the data and how you export it. A maintenance history you cannot take with you is a lock-in you have not priced.
- Test it with your real machinery, not a demo boat. Every system looks tidy with sample data. Load one generator’s actual service history and see how long it takes.
- Discount the review sites entirely here. Two reviews on Capterra is not a signal. Ask the vendor for a captain on a comparable boat and phone them.
Red flags. A vendor who will not give a price band before a demo — nine of sixteen do this, so it is normal, but it still tells you the number is negotiable and therefore variable. A “best of” page with decimal scores and no methodology. Any comparison that lists Dockwa or MarineTraffic as yacht management software, which is a reliable sign the writer has never opened one. And any vendor, ourselves included, whose comparison page has no section admitting where it loses.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best yacht management software?
It depends on the boat. For a single yacht or a small fleet that wants maintenance plus crew hiring, charter, brokerage and a services directory on one login with a published price, ZipYacht Management at $1,790 a year plus $189 a month. For a 30m+ engineer-led PMS, Seahub. For superyacht-grade software with transparent pricing by length, Aquator Marine. For a genuinely free tier, OwlMar Skipper or YachtWave Personal. For the cheapest paid option, Quartermaster at $29.99 a year.
How much does yacht management software cost?
Published prices run from $29.99 a year at the bottom to $20,000 a year at the top. Quartermaster is $29.99/yr, Aquator Marine Essential is $99/yr, YMP is €650/yr flat, Nauticare runs €49–€99/month by vessel size, OwlMar Captain is $99/month, YachtWave is $39–$49 per boat per month, and ZipYacht Management is $1,790/year plus $189/month. Aquator’s superyacht band runs $2,500/yr at 24–35m to $20,000/yr at 80–100m.
Why won’t these companies tell me the price?
Nine of the sixteen vendors serving this market publish nothing and require a demo first: Seahub, Floatist, IDEA Yacht, MESPAS, Voly, Pinpoint Works, DeepBlue, Plan M8, YMS360 and Nauticoncept. The pattern is clean — every vendor aimed at the superyacht and fleet end hides pricing, and almost every vendor that publishes is aimed at owner-operators. The exceptions are Aquator Marine and ZipYacht, which publish at the larger end anyway.
Is there free yacht management software?
Yes, three genuinely free tiers rather than trials. OwlMar Skipper covers 2 vessels with 50 AI queries a month and needs no card. YachtWave Personal is free for up to 3 boats. Seazone Basic is €0 for 7 users but covers yacht administration only. Aquator Marine’s Starter tier is also free to begin. Quartermaster and Seazone both offer 30-day trials with no card if you want to test a paid tier.
What is the difference between YachtWyse and OwlMar?
They are the same company. YachtWyse rebranded to OwlMar — yachtwyse.com URLs 302-redirect to owlmar.com and the OwlMar site footer says “formerly YachtWyse”. If you have been comparing them as two options, you have been comparing one product with itself.
Which yacht management software works offline?
Nauticare offers a local onboard installation that runs fully offline and auto-syncs, which is the strongest offline claim in the category. Plan M8 provides offline access to manuals, documents and tasks. Seahub supports offline checklist completion. Quartermaster caches locally on iOS and Android. DeepBlue’s mobile app has offline sync. Seazone and Floatist are web-only with no offline claim.
Can I trust the “best yacht management software” lists on Google?
Be careful. The three highest-visibility list pages — Gitnux, WifiTalents and ZipDo — rank products like Dockwa, MarineTraffic, monday.com, Zoho CRM and VesselFinder Pro, which are a marina booking app, a vessel tracker and generic business software. They carry identical update stamps, the same writer-and-fact-checker byline pattern and decimal scores with no published methodology. The one list naming real vendors publishes pricing that contradicts the vendor’s own live page.
Do these products have reviews on G2 or Capterra?
Barely. Seahub has 2 reviews on Capterra. A product called “Yacht Management” by Latitude 365 has 3 on G2. Thirteen of the sixteen vendors have no listing on G2, Capterra or GetApp at all. There is no category leader or quadrant for yacht management software, so any ranked score you see for this market was invented.
Is yacht management software the same as a yacht management company?
No, and they differ by orders of magnitude in price. A full-service management company runs the boat for you — crew payroll, accounting, flag and class compliance — and typically charges a retainer or 5–10% of the annual operating budget. Software gives you and your captain the tools to run it yourselves for hundreds to a few thousand a year. See how much yacht management costs for the full comparison.
What should I ask on a demo?
What it costs at my vessel size with my crew count; whether pricing is per vessel or per user; what add-on modules cost; whether it works offline and how; who owns the data and how I export it; and for the contact details of a captain on a comparable boat. If a vendor will not give a price band before the demo, ask for one anyway — it tells you how variable the number is.
