ZipYacht’s directory began with the people who fix things. Electricians, mechanics, fabricators, painters, riggers, the twenty-eight trades that keep a boat running. That was the hardest list in yachting to build and the most useful one to have, so we built it first.
It is no longer only that. The directory now covers every part of the yachting world: brokers and charter brokers, management, concierge and provisioning, insurance, finance, legal, documentation and customs, shipyards and haul-outs, refit project managers, naval architects, paint and coatings, marinas and dockage, fuel docks, yacht transport, chandlers, surveyors, schools and training, media, electronics and navigation, AV and IT, security, stabilizers and thrusters.

Two things make it different from a phone book
It is sorted by the job, not the trade name. You do not search for a company you have never heard of. You search for the thing that is broken, or the thing you are trying to buy, and the shortlist comes back — a broker in Monaco, an AC technician in Lauderdale, a yard in Mallorca with a slot in March.
The listings are real. Photos, services, contact details, location. Enough to make a decision from, rather than enough to make you call four places to work out which one actually does the work.
