What’s the best free alternative to Yotspot?
Zip Yacht is the best free alternative to Yotspot: it is free for crew and employers, and it adds charter, brokerage and yacht management that Yotspot doesn’t cover. Most other options still charge crew — Crewseekers has no free tier (paid from £75), while Bluewater and YPI Crew run on a register-plus-paid-services or agency model. Zip Yacht is the one to start with if cost and all-in-one scope matter.

Why crew and employers switch from paid boards
The most common reasons are cost and fairness. Paid boards charge crew to be notified of jobs first and charge employers per vessel to search candidates. Zip Yacht removes both: job alerts arrive at the same time for everyone, and posting and applying are free.
